Poster for ‘Mother's Day’ in 1945, initially instituted for members of the Youth Organisation of FET de las JONS. This day was celebrated in Spain on the feast of the Immaculate Conception from 1939 to 1964.
In the mid-1940s, fascist project in Franco's Spain concerns gave way to another dimension of motherhood, more attentive to the role of women as educators and trainers of the offspring in the Catholic faith, with the great symbolic reference point of the Virgin Mary ideals: abnegation, submission and purity.
